So I've been trying to use cheats on a super slim ps3 and haven't had any luck. Most tutorials require that I have CFW to use cheats. I ran into a problem because I was forced into updating to 4.83 to use the internet, not sure if that was for using PSN and the browser in retrospect but I had it on OFW 4.82 before the update to 4.83. I've been trying to use cheats for SONIC GENERATIONS so I could have infinite rings for SUPER SONIC but most tutorials require jailbreak, can I use CFW or Han for a super slim, can the SUPER SLIM be downgraded? And if so what would be a route to go? Thanks in advance.

Currently on metldr2 consoles, without necessary exploit(s), cheat engine brews cannot run & you should only be able to apply cheats that don't require patching signed files anyway.
From there, it all depends on how the target game was built. In theory as long as no privately signed files gets patched, one could for example1. Create a CFW2OFW or HAN game backup with cheats pre-applied.2. Create 'update pkg files' to install selected cheat(s) or restore original files.3. Use code from the HAN file copier & create new XMB links to swap original files for files that contain cheats & vice versa. The same kind of things that can be used for game modding with HAN basically. The only alternative would be to use a commercial cheat engine which signed code would allow you to apply patches through its GUI.I remember using Exploder for PS2 over 15 years ago, in the swapmagic days, but I never tried the PS3 version. Click to expand. It's no where near as good as what you can achieve with CFW from what I can remember. But it gives you some more options if you want to mess around with games and cheat in this way offline, and you are willing to pay for it. It's along the lines of ARTIMUS in style. Some games you can add your own cheats in, but obviously you need to know the offset of the cheat you want. This has got me wondering if you can use the same values ncl cheats use?
I would of thought so. Maybe it could be a Base to reverse engineer an ARTIMUS style cheat engine, maybe this is where they got the idea from to create ARTIMUS, for people on OFW HAN so it's free for them as Xploder would have to use proper signed code to run correctly, the the cheats wouldn't work. And there are special additions for certain games like GTA5 and black ops 2 but they cost extra money. About £5 per special edition and the Base ultimate edition is around £20 off amazon.I think I payed around £25 for it 6 years ago when I got my CECH4003A.One thing that I have never tried with it is the save resigner. It is ment to work with non jailbreak PS3's but never tried it.Might have to dig the disc out and refresh my memory of how it works, if it's not scratched to hell, as av not touched it since I bought my 2 CECH2003A's and jailbroke them after my DECH4003A died a painful short circuit death after some idiot split water on it.You would think I have an obsession with.003A model ps3s. Pure chance and coincidence lol.Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk. Click to expand.I got BruteForce. Never tried it on saves on my OFW console but then again I only really cheat when i have finished a game and am messing about.
Its more than cash and stuff. Theres hundreds of cheats for hundreds of games. Yes it does use your save files, it wont add the cheats to the eboots, but i suppose you could add the offsets from the cheat files into the eboots yourself if you are on CFW but would that would defeat the purpose of Xploder, its for consoles that are not jailbroken so why pay for it if you have a CFW PS3 and you can freely find the offsets on the internet. You can edit the cheats yourself with offsets found online, never done this though so am temped to see if the artimus offsets will work on it.
